The Weekend December 17, 2007 7:39am in life
Friday night was rather uneventful, hung out with Cassie for a little bit then hopped on XBOX Live and played a bit of Call of Duty 4 and Halo...I tell ya, the 5.1 surround system really makes you feel like you're right there. Saturday was mostly a waste of a day as I didn't get up til almost 4pm. Sleeping in has its benefits though. Ended up picking up some speaker stands for my front speakers and Super Mario Galaxy. So far the game looks pretty good. Follows more of the style of Super Mario 64 than it does Super Mario Sunshine...which is good. I ended up going to see I Am Legend with LJ and Jeff in KoP that night. Movie was good even though it apparently didn't follow the ending of the book (so I'm told), but Will Smith did a good job in the movie. Kinda left me thinking like whoa, could something like that really happen? Maybe not the zombie part, but just such a high scale pandemic. To see fighter planes destroy the bridges...just wow. I still want to know how exactly they did NYC, the detail was amazing. Sunday I slept in til 2 and then went to my company's holiday dinner. Not bad, had a caesar salad, chicken, and a chocolate cake, as well as some nice wine. Now, I'm back at the grindstone. |

Busy Weekend...Now for the Drudgery of the Work Week to Start December 03, 2007 9:29am in life
My weekend was jam packed. It seems like the only time I really spent at home was yesterday (Sunday) evening. I was out all over the place. Went to Bristol Saturday and had lunch and hung around with Cass.Saturday night I went over to LJ's and played Rock Band. (Pictures here) Game was fun, not sure it's worth the $180 for me, but still a fun game. Sunday I slept in til like 1, and then went shopping like all day. Didn't get much other than Apollo 13 on HD DVD. I still need to do more Christmas shopping. Pretty much need to figure out what to get everyone. Sunday evening was spent relaxing and gaming. I played Call of Duty 4 mostly. That game is fun. Multiplayer just kicks ass and the single player campaign ain't half bad either. I also played several levels of Jedi Knight 3: Jedi Academy. I beat that game years ago, but even today, it's still fun. Gotta love using force grip to throw people off the edge. Now, the week begins. Back to the grindstone for me. |

The Weekend is Almost Over September 09, 2007 8:34pm in life
It's kind of a shame, but the weekend is almost over. Friday night was uneventful. Kinda nice given how jam-packed the rest of the weekend was. Saturday afternoon I spent with Cassie, just hung around and did a bunch of nothing really. It was good seeing her again. Later that evening, Steve came down. We played a lot of Rainbow Six Vegas clearing maps and getting annoyed when we bring the terrorists down to less than 5 remaining only to have them take us down forcing us to restart all over again. Rachael and her friend Lisa came down after work and we were all up til like 6am playing poker. I lost $5 but it was still fun. Slept in Sunday only to wake up and watch the Eagles lose. Stupid special teams. Oh well, there's still 15 games left and always next week. Steve and I played a bit more Vegas and here I am now. Back to work tomorrow. I swear these weekends need to last longer.

First Day Back at Work September 04, 2007 5:03pm in life
Work didn't go too too badly today. I still have an hour left, but so far its gone smoothly. I did end up redoing the entry page of my website. I realized that there was no error checking so I had to rectify that. There is also an rss feed available now for my blog. It can be found from the homepage. Here's to the rest of the week going like today.

The Weekend is Over... September 04, 2007 11:36am in life
Well the long weekend is over and I'm back to work. Wishing I could still be home slacking, but alas no more. Barbecue went well. Ended up winning $20 in poker so that was good. Brian was none too happy about that. Al came over Sunday and we ended up watching Swordfish...great movie. Also fixed the shelf in my laundry closet. Now there's a hole for the dryer vent to go through. Well back to work. Tags: Array
