I Hope This Marine Gets What He Deserves...
March 03, 2008 at 2:08pm in news

This is the most disturbing video you've probably seen in a while. It shows a US Marine (he doesn't deserve that title) throwing a helpless dog off a cliff. It's awful and I hope that the asshole gets punished. Due to it's content, I'm not going to embed it, but you can view it here. (site's a little slow as the server's getting hammered)

Lego Turns 50
January 28, 2008 at 2:37pm in news

As Gizmodo notes, Legos, the popular toy building blocks just turned 50 today. I still believe to be the best toy ever. Legos can bring the creativity out of young minds and even those older can use their creativity to build what they want. I remember spending hours on end playing with them as a kid. My parents still have all the legos separated by color in bins in our basement. I remember always getting new sets, building them, then taking them apart to use for whatever I wanted to make. The best part of Legos was not building the patterns & sets, but rather using the pieces to build whatever it was that you wanted to build. As seen above, Google is even honoring the 50th anniversary of Lego.

Eagles Get Another Dirty Win
November 19, 2007 at 10:29am in news

The Philadelphia Eagles yesterday picked up their 5th win and are now .500 but man was their win dirty. The squeaked by with a 17-7 victory over the Miami Dolphins, largely in part to Westbrook's 32 carries. McNabb went down in the 2nd quarter with a sprained ankle to be replaced by AJ Feeley who was efficient completing 13 for 19 for 116yds, 1 touchdown, and 1 interception. McNabb was 3 for 11 with no touchdowns and 2 interceptions. But in the 2nd half, Westbrook was given the ball and had his share of amazing plays going for 148 yards rushing.

This leads me to my point...why are the Eagles not giving Westbrook the ball to start? They only seem to use Westbrook when McNabb goes down. They did it last season and they did it again yesterday. Westbrook is the biggest threat on the Eagles offense. Plain and simple. Start using him, and the opposing defense will start to focus more on Westbrook leaving the other receivers and tailbacks more open for big plays. They did it 3 years ago when T.O. was on the team. Pinkston and the others did well because defenders were too busy focusing on T.O. to cover others as well.

Simply put, no matter who's QB for the Eagles, be it Feeley, McNabb, or even Kolb, GIVE BRIAN WESTBROOK THE BALL. Westbrook is amazing...he's elusive, fast, and a multi-pronged threat. He can do things on his own, and he can open up plays towards other players on the team.

I'm not even gonna bother talking about the QB situation.

3 Arsonists Arrested in Southern California, No links to Santiago Fire
October 26, 2007 at 9:46pm in news

My thoughts go out to all of those affected by the wildfires in Southern California. And the full support to any and all firefighters involved in the effort to contain the blaze. I was just reading an article that several arsonists have been arrested in Southern California. This one guy set a fire in a neighborhood and walked away. Two others were arrested on similar cases but none of the three are directly linked to the Santiago Fire that has so far burned 27,000 acres. I want to see justice severed to the arson who was responsible for that fire, I just hope that this does not become so much of a witch hunt that people aren't charged with setting the fire unless they actually set the fire. What these three did was wrong, and yes it does make them suspects for the Santiago fire, but it does not make automatically guilty. I do hope whoever did it rots in jail so long as he/she was actually the culprit.
